Trivia:
-Graduated the University of Southern California School of Theatre.

-Her childhood interest in movies grew out of a lifelong battle with insomnia.

-Is missing part of her left hand index finger. She sometimes uses a prosthetic finger in movies.

-Play ‘The Girl’ in a London stage production of "The Seven Year Itch" (1955)-- a role made famous by Marilyn Monroe. [August 18, 2000]

-As a child Daryl was so shy that at one point she was diagnosed as borderline autistic. Even today she says she likes to just sit in a corner and observe people.

-Was in a serious relationship with John Kennedy Jr. for several years, but never married due to Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis' disapproval of her son marrying an actress.

-Since there was no girls’ soccer team at Francis W. Parker School in Chicago, she played on the boys team.

-She had brief yet interesting "career" in music. She sang background vocals on the hit 1985 single "You're A Friend of Mine", a duet by Clarence Clemons and her then-boyfriend Jackson Browne. She is also credited as contributing to the all-star chorus of the anti-apartheid album "Sun City: Artists United Against Apartheid", organized by Steve Van Zandt, also in 1985.

-Suffers from agoraphobia (fear of open spaces), a phobia she kept secret for many years, fearing it might ruin her acting career
